THIS FRIDAY: Join the HERDSA SoTL SIG for a workshop on publishing SoTL!
Friday, 21 June 2024, 12.00-1.00pm
Getting Published: Set-up and Planning with Professor Kelly Matthews (UQ)
Getting published is important for many of us in SoTL. For some, writing about teaching and learning comes easily. For some, it does not. In this workshop, we'll zoom in on getting started with writing: values, writing genre, and clever planning tools. If useful and well-attended, we'll make this a series! Future sessions on writing frameworks, navigating collaboration, peer reviewers, and imposture syndrome. This workshop will draw on a free, open-access resource, Writing about Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
**Please note this workshop is NOT about conducting research.

HERDSA Webinar: What next with the Universities Accord?
Friday 21 June, 2024 12.00-1.00pm
This webinar is jointly organised by the Melbourne CSHE and the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA), HERDSA Victoria.
Since the Australian Universities Accord Final Report was released in February there has been much speculation about which of the 47 recommendations would be implemented. We have seen some announcements, including in the May Budget, but much remains unclear.
In this webinar, jointly organised with HERDSA Victoria, Associate Professor Gwil Croucher and Professor Christopher Ziguras from the University of Melbourne’s Centre for the Study of Higher Education will share their insights.
• What do we know so far about implementation? - Associate Professor Gwil Croucher
• Where are the recommendations on quality learning and teaching likely to lead? - Professor Christopher Ziguras
Webinar Presenters: Associate Professor Gwil Croucher and Professor Christopher Ziguras from the University of Melbourne’s Centre for the Study of Higher Education
