“Stepping from Co-Events Lead to Co-Chair of the HERDSA NSW Branch is both a career milestone and a continuation of shared purpose. It’s about now leading the nurturing the spirit of collegiality and curiosity that makes NSW HERDSA such a vibrant community. The branch is welcoming, connecting people and ideas leading to meaningful growth and advancement of knowledge for us all”. Gina Saliba

Gina Saliba, incoming Co-Chair
Serving as CoChair of HERDSA NSW meant to me a unique opportunity to foster a collegial community that nurtures scholarly leadership, excellent teaching and connects higher education academics. While working with colleagues from other local institution, I was exposed to different ideas and practices when developing curated, practice-based and networking events. All were aimed to enhance the professional development and recognition of the members of the NSW community. For example, for me the branch network provided access to experts in the teaching and learning awards space, supporting my successful AAUT citation. The branch also allowed me to connect with others and further local dissemination of my work, especially when financial constraints can limit travel and conference attendance”. Corina Raduescu
