HERDSA Tertiary Education Research New Zealand (TERNZ) Research Medal - call for nominations
The nominations are due on 3 October
The HERDSA TERNZ Research Medal recognises a team or individual who has contributed outstandingly to tertiary education research in New Zealand. Nominations have to be made by HERDSA members; however, eligible nominees are HERDSA members, academic developers, and/or active researchers in the field of tertiary education research. It is possible to self-nominate. The awards panel seek the following information: Up to 300 words explaining the significance of the individual’s or team’s contribution(s) to tertiary education research in New Zealand with supporting evidence (e.g., links to relevant publications, testament, accolades and so forth).

Call for Papers: HERD 2023 Special Issue – New developments in internationalisation of higher education in a changing context
Full paper submission 31 October
The call for submissions to the 2023 Special Issue of HERD is out now, and we'd like to invite you to consider submitting your full article to it or circulating this call amongst colleagues who may be interested.
The topic we have selected for the special issue is 'New developments in internationalisation of higher education in a changing context', and is guest edited by Stephen Marshall, Ly Tran, Jisun Jung and Lisa Unangst.

Contributions, especially from under-represented regions, are invited for this Special Issue which explores emerging epistemologies, developments, insights and sources of evidence for re-conceptualising internationalisation of higher education in a changing context.
The deadline for full manuscript submissions is 31 October 2022, with anticipated publication in early 2023.

HERDSA’s golden jubilee is an opportunity to celebrate the life and times of a Society that has grown from an original three elected members in 1972 to over 800 members and hundreds more associates attending HERDSA events each year.
The HERDSA Executive are keen to record a wide range of voices to showcase the people who make up the Society. Registrations Now Open for Revitalising Universities in (Post-) COVID Times Symposium, 5 November, Tokyo University
Registrations close 24 October, 2022.
It is a great pleasure to announce the upcoming Revitalising Universities in (Post-) Covid Times Symposium at the University of Tokyo, convened by Dr Naomi Berman.
In addition to keynote speaker award winning Professor Emeritus Raewyn Connell, the event will feature a thought-provoking range of presentations and roundtables exploring themes in relation to the social purpose of universities, academic identity, student experience (including grief), and resilience in the face of emergencies.

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the conference organising committee I wish to invite you to attend (f2f or virtual) the 2022 ePortfolios Australia Conference and Forum 2022. The face-to-face event will be facilitated at the University of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.
It will be delivered in hybrid mode (f2f and online). It will be useful for academics and staff who support learning, teaching, educational researchers, learning designers and technology enhanced learning specialists.
