2026 HERDSA Revisited Webinar

Hosted by the NZ Branch of HERDSA, this was an opportunity for colleagues who were unable to attend the recent HERDSA conference in Singapore to gain insights, as well as for people who did attend to reconnect.

Four speakers shared key insights from their research-informed work, or a key learning/provocation. This was followed by questions and answers with attendees.

Approximately 20 colleagues from across NZ attended this session.

What happens to an idea once the conference is over?

This was the focus of a recent HERDSA workshop, From Conference Presentation to Publication: Turning Ideas into Scholarly Outputs, facilitated by A/Prof Alice Brown and Dr Manisha Thakkar.

Designed for colleagues who had recently presented a showcase, roundtable, poster or other conference contribution, the practical session explored how conference work can become the starting point for a publication or other form of scholarly output.
