This case study examines the recommendations contained in Paul Ramsden et al, Recognising and rewarding good teaching in Australian higher education (CAUT, Canberra 1995), as an institutional checklist. Although this case study is set within the particular context of Charles Sturt University, it considers issues of general interest to all staff who have accepted responsibilities for trying to promote good teaching.
