The HERDSA Fellowship Scheme offers you with an opportunity to be part of a vibrant community of practitioners and researchers interested in improving teaching and learning in tertiary education.
Welcome to HERDSA and a special welcome to our newest members who joined as part of their registration for the 2016 conference in Fremantle. I hope that you all – new and existing members - enjoyed the conference including the two outstanding keynote speakers, the panels and a wide variety of workshops and presentations, and of course ,all the networking and social events. The benefits of HERDSA membership include the very high quality journal HERD, HERDSA News, access to the weekly HERDSA Notices email, discounts on HERDSA publications including HERDSA Guides as well as the many events organised by your local branch. I encourage you to contact with your branch representative and make the most of these local events and the networking opportunities they offer. You are also most welcome to contribute to branch activities. I hope that we see you at one of the many events that your local branches organise throughout the year.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about HERDSA or want to contribute to the Society.

HERDSA encourages the development of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) by facilitating opportunities to meet like-minded colleagues at each HERDSA conference. HERDSA members can join the inaugural STEM Education SIG or initiate a new one. There is a Facebook page for communication between interested researchers.
HERDSA Fellows and Associate Fellows become part of a vibrant network of scholars who are able to engage in professional development and serve HERDSA and the broader tertiary education community.
